The new Alpinist Free with a Z-value of 6.0 to 13.0 weighs just 395 g, including the brake, and offers significantly improved power transmission and skiing performance thanks to the new, wider base area. This pin binding is therefore the top choice when every gram counts on long ascents followed by unforgettable freeride descents. Like the previous model, in addition to the Alpinist heel piece, it is equipped with the extra-stiff, carbon-reinforced ISI toe piece, whose wider platform allows for simplified and intuitive step-in. The clever kinematics of the pin lever allow the pins to engage with very little force. The Alpinist heel piece offers a full 35 mm adjustment range as well as climbing aids of 0°, 5° and 9°. The wide drilling pattern of the Alpinist Free also promotes excellent power transmission to the edges, and the overall design allows for active length compensation, which does not affect the ski's flex behaviour. The Alpinist Free is made from materials such as recycled plastic.
