With its new 23c rim, ceramic bearings and a weight of 1260 g, the Cosmic Ultimate made entirely of carbon remains the most high-performing wheelset across all terrains in the Mavic range. Main features R2R: Ultimate performance spokes A single spoke made entirely of carbon connects one side of the rim to the other, passing through the hub. Perfect balance of the wheel system, lateral stiffness and power transfer (whether accelerating, braking or steering the bike in curves) The shape of the spoke also incorporates aerodynamics and vertical flexibility into the equation, combining speed and comfort. Adaptive Layup: Strong where it counts, lightweight everywhere else Carbon is lighter than alloy, but weight can still add up. By using the right amount of fibres where the rim is less stressed to reduce its weight without compromising reliability, you get livelier and more enjoyable wheels for climbing. Up to 70 g saved per rim. Mavic Ceramic: a premium material, premium performance Thanks to its unique properties, ceramic allows the bearings to spin a bit faster and be more durable. In addition to a high-end ceramic material, we use low-density, top-quality grease along with ultra-smooth seals.
