The Salewa Wildfire 2 Approach Shoes are precision-fitting shoes with a high-grip Pomoca outsole for climbing and fast mountaineering, technical climbs, and easy alpine ascents. The upper is made of breathable recycled mesh with a stretch tongue and a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX Extended Comfort membrane for weather protection. The technical construction provides a better, more precise fit thanks to a network of Kevlar cables that wrap the foot, providing flexibility, a snug fit, and strong ankle and heel support. Furthermore, the shoes are equipped with our unique Switchfit adjustment system, which instantly adapts from hiking to climbing mode, and a Multi-Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) footbed for a personalized fit. The Pomoca Speed MTN outsole features a climbing zone at the toe for good edging performance, while S-Path technology promotes running. Pomoca rubber provides improved grip on rocks in both dry and wet conditions, while aggressive tread lugs provide good traction on mud and softer terrain.
