The Scarpa Instinct VS women’s climbing shoes offer exceptional comfort and performance. Crafted with high-quality materials, these shoes can withstand the toughest routes, allowing your foot to perform at its best. The Instinct VS is slightly softer than the laced version, and when compared to the VSR model, the difference in rubber is evident: the original VS features the stiffer Vibram® XS EDGE rubber, while the VSR, suitable for lighter climbers, has a slightly softer and less demanding XS GRIP 2. All models have the same heel, both in rubber and shape, often referred to as perfect. The Scarpa Instinct VS delivers precision on small footholds where exact placement is key to success. With its technically refined dual sole, these shoes utilize two types of rubber. The front features the XS EDGE, which grips edges as thin as a razor, while the heel is made of a two-millimeter mixture of the even stickier XS GRIP 2. The divided sole allows for precise tailoring of the shoe's characteristics to intended use, enabling the selection of different materials, varied stiffness, and strategic placement of tensioning straps to maintain the shoe's shape while remaining flexible for traction-oriented situations. Key features of Scarpa Instinct VS include climbing shoes from the Performance line for the most difficult rock leads, designed for wider feet with a single strap for fit adjustment, distinctly asymmetric and downward curved, focused on power transfer to the toe, lightly supporting the foot with a thin midsole in the front, Bi-Tension tensioning system, Vibram® XS EDGE rubber applied over two-thirds of the sole, and a heel covered with XS GRIP 2 rubber for better traction and greater hooking capability.
