New 2023 version. Designed to withstand the toughest belaying conditions in winter climbing and any major route, the Black Diamond Belay Parka provides comforting protection while your partner struggles on the wall. Our warmest synthetic jacket, the Belay Parka, features targeted Primaloft Rise 200 g/m2 panels as well as Primaloft Gold Cross Core insulation throughout the body, shoulders, and hood. A 50D ripstop outer membrane without PFC protects against the elements while a 20D nylon taffeta lining adds an extra layer of thermal comfort. A two-way zip allows access to your belay system; various generous pockets (hand pockets, chest pockets, and multi-use inner pockets) accommodate your gloves, water bottles, and other essential accessories. Cut and fabric completely redesigned for 2023. Adjustable hood compatible with a climbing helmet. Lightweight stretch cuffs. YKK® two-way front zip compatible with belaying, with DWR water-repellent treatment and wind flap. Adjustable drawcord on the hood and hem for a quick fit. Two zipped hand pockets, two zipped chest pockets, and two multi-use inner pockets. Left chest pocket integrates a stretch mesh inner pocket. Fit: Relaxed. Sizes: XS-XXL.
