The Air Max 97 is the first Air Max model to feature a full-length Air unit. This model first came out in 1997, yet it still has a modern design. It was inspired by the Japanese bullet train. The upper is made of breathable mesh and leather for a comfortable fit. The midsole is made of Phylon with a full-length Air unit for great cushioning. The bottom part of the sole is made of durable and solid rubber for excellent grip.
