The Nike Waffle Trainer 2 stays true to the timeless style of running shoes, nodding to a classic model rooted in Nike heritage. With its iconic Waffle sole, oversized Swoosh logo, and period-correct suede details, the shoe offers a fresh take on a retro style. A soft foam midsole with an ultra-soft wedge is incredibly comfortable, and the deliberately exposed foam on the tongue completes the look.
Shoes with specially modified soles first appeared in 1973. They were suitable for both flat and uneven surfaces and helped develop the idea that a sole could also absorb shock to joints. Previously, all athletic shoe soles were flat, so the waffle-inspired sole was the first major innovation in the industry. The first model was manufactured in Japan, had a nylon upper, and gained popularity at lightning speed.
Attention!!! The shoes are new, but the box may be damaged.
Important!!! Foot length and insole length.
Remember that the foot length you get during measurement will not be identical to the insole length. Approximately 0.5 cm is usually added to the result, especially if the shoes are not made of leather and will certainly not stretch.
Different rules apply when choosing sports shoes, such as running, soccer, or hiking shoes. Depending on their intended use, you should add approximately 1 cm or even more to the result. Feet swell slightly with prolonged exercise, so you should avoid buying shoes that are close-fitting. In the case of mountain boots, the thickness of the sock you wear is also important.
(The insole lengths provided in the sizes are suggested by the manufacturer and should therefore be considered only as an example. The Sportostrada store is not responsible for any differences. When selecting shoe sizes, please refer to the size of the footwear from the manufacturer you are currently wearing.
