What type of product is this service intended for?
Need to give your cardio or weight-training equipment some extra care? Boost your fitness sessions by entrusting the replacement of your machine’s main protective shroud to our experts. This service specifically targets your exercise bike, cross trainer, rowing machine or indoor cycling bike. Get your equipment back to safe working order at your nearest Decathlon workshop! If you own a treadmill, discover our specialised services to keep your favourite equipment in peak condition.
What exactly does this service involve?
This service includes removing the damaged main shroud and replacing it with a new one. The new part is not included in the price of this package. Once the protective covers are refitted, a safety and operational check is performed to ensure you can resume training in optimal conditions. Watch our video to see an example of this service carried out in our workshops.
What is included in the price of this service? Are spare parts included ?
Our rate covers labour only. Any spare parts that need replacing will be quoted for separately. Rest assured that, as part of a standard service, all the necessary products (grease, lubricant, cleaner) are provided at no extra cost.
How does the process work for my fitness equipment?
To start the process, make life easier by dropping off your product at your nearest Decathlon store. Our team will forward it to a Decathlon workshop specialising in fitness equipment, where our qualified technicians will carry out a diagnostic check and provide a quote before any work is carried out.
Is there a fee for the diagnostic check?
Our expert technicians will perform a comprehensive diagnostic check completely FREE—with absolutely no obligation to proceed with repairs. Following this evaluation, you will be provided with an accurate quote: no repairs will be carried out or billed without your green light.
What is included in the diagnostic check?
Our experts ensure your product's safety by checking the frame, welds, locking mechanisms and electrical system. Its overall operation is also analysed through tests on the display, circuits, resistance, drive system and all moving parts.
How long does the service take?
Your sports equipment deserves the highest level of care. Once dropped off in-store, it is generally sent to a specialised workshop to be handled by our specialist technicians. The repair time depends on logistics, scheduling and the availability of spare parts. Rest assured, we’re looking after your equipment and will keep you updated every step of the way!
How long is the warranty on labour and parts?
Our workshop provides a 3-month warranty on labour, ensuring you can resume training with complete peace of mind. All new parts fitted during the repair are covered by a 2-year warranty.
Do you repair non-Decathlon machines?
We also repair other brands! Our technicians analyse every request on a case-by-case basis to confirm feasibility. Please remember to contact your store before visiting to check whether your brand is supported. As our standard rates are tailored to Decathlon products, carrying out work on other brands is subject to the availability of parts and may incur an additional charge on your quote.
How do I maintain my fitness machine to prevent future breakdowns?
Prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of your machine with regular maintenance. Wipe off sweat with a soft cloth and check that the screws are tight to prevent them from rusting. If you own a treadmill, remember to lubricate the running deck: this protects the motor and ensures a smooth stride. Always store your equipment in a dry place at room temperature, away from moisture.
