Design details

Durable materials
This polyamide fabric that uses 20 denier thread resists 20,000 cycles of abrasion. Martindale test, Standard 12947-2 Outer: 100% polyamide fabric 39g/sqm, 20 denier Lining: 100% polyester fabric 35g/sqm, mix of 15 to 20 denier threads
Technical information on the wadding
We use 100% polyester wadding (25% recycled). The wadding is made from silicon-coated spiral fibres that make it highly compressible and highly durable. Despite its low thickness, it has high insulation properties thanks to the air trapped inside, and remains lightweight. It remains warm even when wet.
Do you know why the inner lining of your padded jacket is grey?
Because the fabric we use reduces CO2 emissions by 40%. The fabric used is innovative because it mixes a self-dyed black thread and an undyed thread. Compared to a classic dyeing process, this process reduces by: • 66% fine particle emissions (PM2.5) • 74% Eutrophication of fresh water • 68% eutrophication of sea water
Additional sustainable development information
On the Trek 100 black model, the outer fabric uses a clean process known as dope dyeing (the thread is dyed before the yarn is woven) reducing CO2 emissions by 36%. More information: http://developpement-durable.decathlon.com/
Water repellent property of the component (not to be confused with the waterproofing)
The water repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from soaking up water, and keeps it lightweight and breathable. The fabric is made water repellent by treating its outer surface, however this property may deteriorate with use. In order to reactivate it, follow the guide: https://www.quechua.co.uk/advice/how-do-you-restore-water-repellent-properties-your-jacket-a_86426
Functions
Inside flap under the zip that protects from the wind. Elasticated cuffs, Soft fabric flap at the top of the collar to protect the chin. Tightening with an elastic cord and toggle at the hem.
A score for comparing the products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle using various indicators. An overall ABCDE rating is given to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing and contrasting products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon actively promotes this environmental rating initiative. More information: http://developpement-durable.decathlon.com/
