    Product feature
    1. Programme / Terrain
The pulse is an All Mountain/versatile Freestyle board thanks to the Twin Tip, and medium flex. Groomed slopes and Park suit this board best. In low-speed jumps, you don't get to use its pop - you need to go a little bit faster to experience that. However, when landing a jump, it's sufficiently stiff to push you forward if you land a bit too far back, whereas a softer-tipped board would throw you backwards
    2. TWIN DIRECTIONAL snowboard
It is the combination: 1. of a Twin Tip snowboard shape with perfect centring and symmetry, a board that enables riding in both directions in the same way. 2.and a directional flex for more power at high speed. Combine with its 10 mm Setback (binding inserts 10 mm back from the centre of the board), that's what gives the Pulse its On-/Off-piste/Freestyle versatility.
    3. Standard + Flat CAMBER
Standard camber area light under the feet for grip, pop, and recovery when coming out of turns, together with the flat binding area at the tips to facilitate turns, rotations, nose presses, ...
    4. Medium, Versatile FLEX
The flex (stiffness of the board between front and rear) of the Carve is about 3/5, i.e. medium and versatile. It offers predictable handling when cutting corners and is forgiving of edge mistakes.
    5. Medium and Versatile TORSION
The torsion (torsional stiffness of the board between the feet) is about 3/5, which is: _ fairly stiff for good hold in the curves, recovery coming out of a turn and responsive edge transition. _ flexible enough to enjoy a bit of freestyle. The torsion gives the Park & Ride its good versatile handling.
    6. 10 mm SETBACK
The Setback is when the board's compression points with the snow are not symmetrical in relation to the centre of the board, but set back towards the rear. The bindings are also set back towards the rear by the same distance. 10 mm setback => standard setback for directional boards. It provides better grip in turns and flexibility in powder snow because the weight is on the tail of the board which naturally raises the nose.
    7. Technical information
Front width 300 mm / Centre 256 mm / Back 300 mm (Size 160 cm) Radius : NC Effective edge 1210 mm Number of inserts: 8 + 8 (3 possible positions per binding/40 mm between each) Recommended stance: 560 mm
    8. Extruded Base/Glide Performance
Extruded base (manufacturing process that is different from sintered bases) Provides a normal glide and good durability over time. Requires regular maintenance: ideally, wax after every 5 outings, and at a minimum, once per year, -at the beginning of the season to start with a very good glide -at the end of the season allowing the wax to penetrate the sole during the summer (ideally, the lower bindings).
    9. Sold as a pack with Pact bindings
The Pact incorporates all the Salomon technologies when it comes to bindings. The result? exceptional performance at an affordable price. Thanks to the Composite ratchets, the 3D Prime instep strap and forefoot Lock-In strap. snowboard 156 cm = M size binding = suitable for sizes 39 to 43 snowboard 160 cm = L size binding = suitable for sizes 41 to 48.
    10. What's the right size Pulse for me?
In general, for Freestyle use, use a fairly short board: -20 to -25 cm. (e.g., someone measuring 1m74, can use a board between 154 and 149 cm). _ Choosing a smaller one makes turns and tricks easier _ Choosing a larger one enables more stability at high speed and when landing jumps OR recommended for people who are heavy for their height. 156 cm (65 - 85 kg) => from 1m75 to 1m80 160 cm (85 - 110 kg) => from 1m80 to 1m88

    2. Storage advice
Wipe the edges at the end of the day so they don't rust.Waxing is required on a regular basis, ideally every 5 outings. Keep away from sunlight when storing during the summer.
    3. Product catchline

    • Not Advanced, but ok for beginners

      Trev (United Kingdom)
Used for 1 week or less
description says 'Advanced' which is funny as it's Salomon's entry level easy to ride snowboard. The board is ok, probably the best on this website but seeing as the other boards on decathlon are total poop this isn't saying much.
      easy to ride
      slow, sloppy and boring
      Response of the brand
      Dear M. Bitner,

I take it you have had a chance to test all our Wed'ze snowboards? If not, if you have access our Stockport, Milton Keynes or Braehead stores, I'd invite you to borrow some snowboarding equipment from them and test it. These 3 stores have our Wed'ze ski and snowboard ranges available to test for free. All you need to take the snowboards out for 72 hours, is an ID and a debit or credit card.

Last season, I tested the End Zone 500:
I've been snowboarding for 19 years and even if this board is originally intended for men (because of its width and rigidity), I really enjoyed riding it. I can only recommend testing it yourself and would be happy to have your opinion on it. We are always looking to improve our products thanks to our customers' constructive opinions.

I hope you have a nice day and a snowy season,
      Tea Djumisic Market manager DECATHLON
