    6. Additional recommended products
"Rain-Cut Pant" overtrousers protect the lower body and provide comprehensive, highly-effective protection from the wind and rain showers. Care products: spray or liquid water repellent treatment in the washing machine. To renew the fabric's water repellent properties and optimise performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
    7. Waterproof component
We measure a fabric's resistance to a column of water in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure withstood, the more waterproof the fabric. A waterproof rating of 2000 mm means the fabric can withstand the pressure exerted by 2000 mm of water (the equivalent of a rain shower lasting for two hours).
    8. Waterproof garment
Technologies: this garment has been subjected to a shower test using 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.
    9. Component breathability
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 920 = little or no breathability.
    10. Water repellent component
A fabric is water repellent when it allows water slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. This is achieved through a treatment applied to the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be repeated throughout the garment's lifetime (every 3 washes). All Quechua waterproof jackets have received a water-repellent treatment.

This jacket was excellent.Great design and quality but I was very disappointed that ALL WATERPROOF CLOTHES THAT I BROUGHT FROM DECATHLON STOP BEING WATERPROOF IN SOME AREAS AFTER FIRST NORMAL WASH!
I thought Decathlon was a serious company but they seem to drop the quality of many items just to maintain the price and design. So what use is to have a nice rain jacket if it stops being waterproof?
      Excellent design
Waterproof underlayer is very poor quality
      Response of the brand
Thanks for your feedback on the Quehua Rain-cut zip jacket. I apologise for the inconvenience caused due to the waterproofing of the product. Please drop back into your local store where we can exchange the product and investigate the failure in more detail. Whilst we are continuing to drop prices, we do also aim to maintain the level of quality.
Thanks again for getting in touch.

      Swadesh (India)
Used for 1 week or less
Good material, nice fitting, and does the job perfectly. Idle for bikers in rain. It has sealed seams, so no water seeps in. Quality of Quechua has always been good.
    • Very good rain jacket

      Sunny (India)
Used for More than 1 year
The best feature of this jacket is it can be folded into a pouch, which makes it very convenient and portable.

The jacket itself is also pretty good. I sometimes take it in my cabin luggage and slip it on when it becomes too cold in the flight. Serves the purpose quite well.
