Summer Festivals FAQs

What are the essentials for camping at a summer festival?

Festival camping between April 27 and August 30 demands a kit that balances weight with weather resistance. Our selection focuses on "Fresh & Black" tent technology, which reflects the sun’s rays to keep the interior cool and dark for better rest. Because the walk from the car park can be long, kitting out with a high-capacity backpack from our summer hiking & mountain bikes range ensures your load is distributed across your hips. The technical "why" behind choosing specialized camping gear is the need for windproof fabrics and waterproof groundsheets. For those who want to stay active between sets, the portable equipment in our summer garden & urban sports collection, such as frisbees and balls, adds versatility to your campsite.

How do I stay dry and comfortable at an outdoor festival?

Irish festivals are prone to sudden squalls, making a lightweight shell from the summer rain gear collection an absolute necessity. Pair this with the breathable uppers found in our summer running gear to ensure you stay fresh even in crowded arena environments. If your festival is located near the coast, you may also find the technical layers from our summer water sports & fitness selection useful. Our summer gear at great prices ensures you can build a reliable weather-proof kit that protects your comfort.

What is the best way to maintain camping gear after a weekend?

Post-festival care is vital to prevent fabric degradation. Always air out your gear completely before storage; storing a damp tent is the primary cause of mold. If you’ve spent your time exploring the surrounding woods, check for any residue from summer wild life areas, such as sap or mud, which should be removed with a soft brush. The reason for this maintenance is to protect the waterproof coatings and ensure the zippers remain functional. A clean, well-maintained kit means you are ready for the next event, allowing you to focus on the music rather than gear failures.
