Purchased these shorts which are one of my more expensive purchases in comparison to the cheaper ones purchased from two well known grocery outlets.
Unfortunately shortly after purchasing I was off cycling for around one year owing to waiting for and then recovering from a heart operation.
I started cycling again during the winter wearing Decathlon Bib Shorts, once the weather improved tried out these shorts again an despite their quality they’ve an annoying tendency to creep up ones legs towards the groin area which understandably makes for a not too comfortable a ride.
I recollect mentioning this to one of the Decathlon team shortly after purchasing them, not sure if they replaced them, if they did then the replacement is no better
Aw ra best
Great product. Very comfortable, despite there being only one size (Small) available at the time of my purchase - Ideally, I would have preferred Medium...
As I ride vintage racing bikes, I was looking for a pair of "retro" style shorts (i.e. shorter), and the 700 style are perfect. I was told by a very helpful assistant that these are described as "aero fit", hence the shorter leg length.
I was also informed that these are now discontinued, which is a shame, as these are by far the most comfortable cycling shorts that I own.
I've been using these shorts for over a year and ridden over 5000km, they are very comfy on long rides. Over 5hours.
Very Comfy on long rides, 5 hours+
I should have bought two pairs.
Comfortable shorts with good padding. I was going to go for the 500 but they material seemed to be a little thin compared with these. I guess you get what you pay for and I'm glad I chose these. Check the sizing though - cut a little small.
No pocket. Sizing on the small side.
compared to other shorts in the same price range, these are fantastic. Wore 2 pairs on a 4 day trip and threw my other (different brand) pair in the bin!
well made, padding in the right places
Careful on the sizing, cut on the small side.
I bought these after reading a review about them and needing a better set of shorts for my shorter rides. I was amazed how good they are. The pad is so comfortable and my chafing in sensitive areas has stopped. They are even better than the £100 bib shorts I bought for my long rides as I chafe in them. So I only wear the BTwin shorts now. Thank you Decathlon. Paying more may not be better.
Great pair of shorts at a good price. Very comfortable for rides up to 4 hours in my opinion.
price, comfort sizing colour
I'm a novice rider and I had a pair of shorts that were more expensive but I needed another pair. These shorts are better padded, much cheaper although the stitching was not such good quality, but who's bothered about the stitching!. They are still intact, comfortable although being a novice rider I only wear them for about a two hour ride at a time on average once a week. I will buy these shorts again if I'm looking at this price range and type of product.
These should be marketed for triathlon and not road cycling - the excellent pad is let down by extremely short cut - they cover a bit less than half the thigh.
Extremely short cut
Thank you for reviewing the 700 cycling shorts. The shorts are aimed at the cyclist who does lots of club rides and competitive cycling. With this in mind the shorts need to be of the aero fit and not have too much excess fabric which is why they are on the shorter side in terms of length in comparison to the 300 & 500 range.
