Town 9 scooter is a lot of fun, but .... After a week of commuting approximately 10 mins journeys 4 times a day, which is not a lot at all, I am left with swollen ankles and in pain. I used to ride bycicle prior to swapping for this scooter so my personal fitness level is good. Very disappointed to have this expensive toy laying around now.

I purchased this to go out on scooter rides with my Children and I have so much fun that it is me that doesn't want to go home!
I read some of the previous reviews about the wheels slipping and was concerned about purchasing this, I decided to go ahead anyway as the folding aspect and extra brake suited all of my needs. I have not been disappointed.
I have a motorbike licence and was taught to ride for the weather conditions and avoid manhole covers, taking this advice on board when riding this scooter I have not experienced any problems with it slipping or feeling uncontrollable, even in the wet.
Both my children love riding this with me on the additional child carrier, and I love using it too. It has made the school run (and return) so much easier and quicker and I find myself using it for running errands to the local shop. The folding mechanism is very useful when leaving the scooter outside shops or for picking it up and taking it in.
It is also great for fitness and makes a nice change to running or cycling.
    • Easy and sturdy.

I tried two other brand before one every child possesses M...o and the other is German brand H...ra mosly used by adults all expensive (over £150) but not as study and easy folding as OXELO scooter. I love mine the ride is smooth when the pavement is not bumpy and does not feel slippery riding in the rain. The double brake are a bonus I use both that function well however the hand brake is a bit hard. For improvement a slightly larger platform, a stand, reduce the weight without compromising the STURDINESS and folding system make OXELO UNIQUE after trying other brands. Incorporate an inside luck in the handle bar and flashing light would be great. Price wise it is a good value for money. I ride it with my children who now want my OXELO.
    • Great Idea, not so great in reality.

The idea of scootering on the pavement whilst my kids are cycling, on our morning commute, became a reality when I bought this scooter. It was short lived. Within 2 months there was a massive problem: if I leant just a touch forward I would be thrown of the scooter, regardless of what speed I was doing. I have no technical knowledge of suspensions, but there seemed to be more of the inner metal, underneath the red rubber covering, showing than was visible previously.

Got my dad on the job. He said it's not safe. Sadly it has been in the shed since.

I called customer services who told me that I would need to make an appointment to take it to my local branch to be fixed. Probably fine for others, but I bought it online as I live nowhere near a branch. And I had no car to get it there anyway.

Still wanting to fix it, as I was good at first. Believe there is a guarantee if I sent it back at my own cost. But I loathe spending any more money on it.
      Scootering in general.

I've been using Oxelo Town 9 scooter almost every day since last April. I covered distances as long as 8km in 40 minutes. I live in Dublin, Ireland and have never had any problems with scooting in the rain or on wet footpaths (rather bumpy and uneven). I use the shoulder strap when doing grocery shopping, going to the gym and I even bring it to the cinema. It is the best means of transport in a traffic congested city. I meet fellow Oxelo scooter owners few times a week while gliding through the city or waiting for the tram. I would be lost without it!
Large wheels, easy folding, very fast, sturdy
      Kick stand would be useful
