Lacing system
Laces are fastened using a plastic drawcord toggle. Optimised lacing system for easier, more durable lacing.
The MT 500.3 is also supplied with standard laces.
360° System
Our exclusive system uses a strap that goes under your instep. Tightening your laces also tightens the strap, providing extra instep support without sacrificing comfort. Since the angle of the strap is aligned with the laces, there are no uncomfortably hard pressure points. This provides unrivalled support and therefore greater precision and safety when you want to speed up your hiking.
Grip system
The pad where the sole of the shoe comes into contact with the ground is a single piece of rubber which stretches from your heel to your toe. This construction was chosen as it improves foot motion and provides more grip surface. Sticky Rubber offers unparalleled grip. Our red rubber is highly resistant to abrasion, helping to avoid premature wear and tear on the heel and making the shoe more durable without affecting grip.
Support
In addition to the 360° System, the X Stab Concept (a rigid plastic TPU insert) helps stabilise the heel. This insert is embedded into the injected EVA and helps stabilise the heel and keep it in position at the back of the shoe. The insert extends out at the sides so that it is covered by the 360° System strap, gently merging with the rest of the shoe at the forefoot. It is used to brace the foot and, along with the injected EVA in the front sole, provides excellent push off.
