WATERPROOF COMPONENT
We measure a fabric's resistance to a water column, in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the water pressure withstood, the more waterproof the fabric. Components scoring 2000 mm can resist the pressure from 2000 mm of water (roughly equivalent to a rain shower lasting 2 hours).
WATERPROOF MEMBRANE
A membrane is a very thin (around 5 to 25 micrometres) polymer layer (polyurethane, polyester or PTFE) that is applied to the inner surface of a fabric to make it highly waterproof and breathable.
BREATHABLE COATING
A breathable coating means that the surface is coated with a paste or liquid. Once applied to a fabric, it creates a protective layer often used as a waterproof barrier that wicks away water vapour.
WATER REPELLENT COMPONENT
Water repellent fabric allows water to run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm.
Fabric is made water repellent by applying a surface treatment. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (every 2 or 3 washes). Products for this purpose are available in our stores. All Wed'ze waterproof jackets have received a water repellent treatment.
TAPED SEAMS
They are waterproof adhesive strips. These strips are fastened behind the seams, and play an essential role in a garment's waterproofing. Even if a garment is made from highly waterproof materials, if the seams are not perfectly sealed, water will get through! Wedze tests the effectiveness of waterproofing strips on clothing after 5 washes, in order to guarantee that garments remain waterproof over time.
BREATHABLE COMPONENT
To determine whether a component is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower a fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by the body during sports can escape through the fabric, and the higher its breathability
WINDPROOF
Do you know that you feel colder in the wind? Where the outdoor temperature is 0° with a wind-speed of 20 km, it feels like -10°.
"Windproof" components reduce this cooling effect by stopping the air flow owing to the wind and owing to the relative speed of the sports activity.
CUT INFORMATION
The bagginess of the trousers enable tights to be worn underneath.
Regular cut=> straight-cut trousers Relax cut => trousers baggy on the thighs Slim cut (stretch) => belted, close-fitting stretch trousers Sports cut=> tight trousers preformed at the knees.
Bootcut => trousers which flare from the calf down.
Tips for storage and maintenance

Machine wash - 30° max - normal

Do not bleach

Do not tumble dry

Do not iron

Do not dry-clean
Storage tips
Store on a hanger and do not fold, as this can damage the fabric coating. Make sure that the garment is completely dry before storing in a dry and well-ventilated place.
