For climbers who want a belay device offering an additional level of comfort and safety, for lead belaying and top roping.

BENEFITS

Compatibility

For 8.9 mm to 11 mm ropes.

Ease of use

A good compromise between reinforced braking and fluidity in belaying.

Abrasion resistance

105 grams, made of stainless steel.

TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

BRAKING PRINCIPLE

This belay system makes it easy to brake a fall because the belayer pivots upwards and pinches the rope. It can be easily released by tilting the brake downwards with your thumb.

This belay is halfway between 1 conventional belay and 1 assisted-braking belay.

Please note: always keep your hand on the rope.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE

It is recommended to use an HMS Bruce Steel FG, HMS Strike FG or

HMS Strike Slider FG carabiner. If you opt for another

carabiner, make sure to use one with an HMS locking mechanism (pear-

shaped), with anti-torsion, if possible, and make sure that

the belaying device is in contact with the large side of the carabiner. A

straight/pointed carabiner in contact with the belaying device can hinder braking
