    Product feature
    1. NEW IN 2016
X-Light is the number 1 TECHNOLOGY (Bodymapping) available in 2 MODELS: X-light 1 and X-Light 2. Available in 7 colours providing you with plenty of choice.
    2. Inflating Power of down/feather filling
For this down jacket filled 75/25, the inflating power of the down/feather is guaranteed to be greater than or equal to 540 CUIN. The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to "trap" air. Down with higher fill power takes up more space, trapping more air and providing greater thermal insulation.
    3. The advantages of duck down and feather filling (for the back and front of the down jacket)
The durable and inflating properties of down give this jacket 3 qualities for hiking: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers - Ultra low weight: down is lighter than synthetic wadding while offering the same degree of warmth. This allows you to lighten the load in your backpack - Ultra compactable * Our feathers come from Chinese ducks reared for their meat; we remove their feathers after slaughter. We hold the death certificates for these ducks.
    4. The advantages of synthetic down filling (for the arms, sides and hood)
Synthetic down (wadded) filling provides an appealing alternative to feather down: - it provides good thermal insulation even when wet - it provides a little breathability and may be recommended for dynamic activity (down is recommended for static or moderate activity).
    5. Care advice for a down jacket filled with down and feathers
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. Follow our advice by clicking on the link below: How to wash and dry your down jacket
    6. In case of rain
The material of the quilted jacket is water repellent. It allows drops of water to slide off the fabric which delays penetration of water into the jacket while you get out of the rain. But the down jacket is not waterproof. We therefore recommend wearing a waterproof jacket over the down jacket in the event of prolonged exposure to rain.
    7. Note regarding the light colour versions
The X-Light down jacket is made with a fine fabric in order to make it lightweight and compact. Please note that the feathers are slightly visible through the fabric of the red colour version of the range.
    8. A score for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated across its entire life cycle using different indicators. An overall ABCDE score is applied to help you readily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon is committed to visually displaying environmental information. For more information visit: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

    2. Approved by
All our quilted jackets have been laboratory tested on thermal mannequins in 5 km/h winds, reproducing a hike with moderate exertion. This allows you to make the best choice by comparing the degree of thermal insulation on a scale of 1 to 5.

    • Amazing product for the price

      Bharadwaj (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
This is an amazingly affordable down jacket. Its perfectly suited for UK's winter weather. I was initially a bit skeptical when I held it as it is quite light but am surprised by its performance in cold and windy weather.
The sizing is just right. I followed decathlons size guide. I am about 100 cm at the chest and a size M (grey) suited me perfectly. I thoroughly recommend it
    • great back up for the price

      boyd (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
For the price this has proved to be a real asset. Packs away into a small space and has been ideal to slip on during cycling coffee breaks to avoid cooling down too rapidly. A product I would thoroughly recommend to be useful for almost every one engaging in a range of outdoor activities.
    • Wonderfull

      Jeff (United Kingdom)
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I didn't need this, but saw it on sale as I walked past. Love the colour and price.
It's actually quite thick and more than warm enough for the UK.
I love the fit round the neck - I don't need to use my Buff.
My only down side is the zip toggle pulls - they are too short and stiff paracord. Always unwind and drop off. I've re fitted them in a different way and are now ok, unfortunately my wife lost a purple one off her jacket.
cost, colours, fit round the neck/head
      zip toggle pulls
    • Great value

      Rhys (United Kingdom)
Used for 3 to 6 months
This was probably my favourite item that I bought from Decathlon for my recent hiking expedition. Great for wearing around camp, or even to sleep in during cold nights. Excellent value for money.
      Lightweight, very warm, cheap
    • Down men jacket

Very much satisfied with it, great for cold weather, I may buy another one just waiting for more colors
      Soft, practical, well built
There are not enough colors available
