BIKES DELIVERY INFORMATION

You will just have to assemble the pedals and to tighten the handlebar.

Pedals: Caution has to be taken as to which pedal has to be screwed on which side. Letters R (Right) and L (Left) are engraved on the pedals for an easier assembly.

Handlebar: The handlebar will be set up on the side, you will only have to tighten it. 

All bikes ordered for home delivery from our European warehouses arrive with the European brake set up as standard (right hand back brake, left hand front brake). Should you wish to have this changed once you've received your order, it can be altered in our Ballymun workshop where an additional charge will apply. If ordered for delivery from our Ballymun store, the bike brake set up will be in the standard Irish set up (Right hand brake front, left hand brake back).

Delivery Information Q&A

How long does delivery take for home delivery?

Standard non bulky deliveries are complete within 6 working days if you've selected "Home Delivery" from our warehouse with bulky orders delivered within 15 working days.
If you've selected "Home Delivery" from our store a non bulky order will be delivered in 3 working days via An Post and if a bulky order it will arrive inside 10 working days via HomeSmartExpress. Note working days do not include Weekends or Public Holidays and delivery schedules are subject to possible delays outside of our control.

Where will my online order ship from?

As standard all online orders placed for "Home Delivery" are shipped direct from our European warehouse direct to your stated delivery address within the Republic of Ireland.
If you've selected "Home Delivery" from store your order will be shipped direct from our store in Ballymun in Dublin to your selected delivery address within the Republic of Ireland.

Who is delivering my order?

At the checkout you will have to choose your method of delivery. If a standard non bulky purchase DHL will ship your order from our German warehouse to Ireland with An Post completing last mile delivery. If you are purchasing a large or bulky item then your delivery will be provided by local courier company HomeSmartExpress.
If you've selected "Home Delivery" from our store a non bulky order will be delivered by An Post and if a bulky order it will arrive via HomeSmartExpress.

Can I track my order?

For all standard non bulky orders, DHL will provide tracking updates once your order leaves the warehouse, arrives in Ireland and prior to delivery via your tracking number which will be available in your account under purchase history following shipping. For large and bulky orders unfortunately we cannot currently provide online tracking via our partners HomeSmartExpress but they will contact you direct in advance of delivery.
If you've selected delivery from the store, your An Post tracking number will be live within 24hours of receiving your "Shipped" email. Bulky orders placed for delivery from the store will not include any tracking information but will be delivered by HomeSmartExpress and they will contact you direct in advance of delivery.

Where can I find my DHL tracking number?

Your DHL tracking number can be found by entering your account, selecting "Purchase History" then "Online Orders". Here you simply need to select "Details" to the right of the order you are looking for and the tracking number will be at the bottom right of the page.

How can I change my delivery address?

Once your order is placed and the picking process has begun for a standard DHL delivery we cannot amend the address provided. If your order is large or bulky and you wish to amend the address please contact our support team in Dublin at help.ireland@decathlon.com with the updated details and we will do our best to make arrangements for you via our delivery partners.

My tracking number is not live?

DHL tracking will be live following shipping and you can view the updates by entering your tracking number in DHL.de If your orders tracking number has not become live after the full 6 working days or you have not received your delivery, please contact our Dublin support team at help.ireland@decathlon.com and we will follow up for you.

How does my bike arrive? Is it assembled?

All bikes arrive boxed and requiring basic assembly. This will usually just entail the insertion and tightening of handlebars, the saddle and pedals. In some cases, depending on the model of bike ordered, the front wheel may need to be fixed in place using the provided quick release. Basic allen keys and a wrench will complete the main parts of the process and we have instructional videos available on Youtube to aide completion. Please note pedals are left / right specific with the right pedal tightened clockwise and the left counter clockwise.

Is international shipping possible?

Unfortunately Decathlon Ireland cannot provide home delivery outside of the 26 counties of the Republic of Ireland.

How long do I have to collect my click & collect order?

As standard once you receive your "Ready for collection" email from our Ballymun store you have 2 working days to complete the collection of your order. If you need to extend this period please contact our Dublin support team at help,ireland@decathlon.com and we will do our best to facilitate an extension.

Is there an express delivery service?

Currently we cannot provide an express delivery service and the standard options are offered at the checkout.

Is there a home assembly option following delivery?

Unfortunately we cannot provide a home assembly service following delivery but our in store workshop team can provide an assembly service for all bulky items and bikes should you wish to bring them to the store after delivery. This service has a fee, contact our support team at help.ireland@decathlon.com or visit the team in store for more information.

I can't select delivery from store for my order?

Unfortunately if you are not offered the "Home Delivery" from the store option at the checkout this is to due to stock availability. As these orders would be picked direct in store in Ballymun, if unavailble in store, only home delivery via our European warehouse will be offered at the checkout.

I can't select click & collect for my order?

Unfortunately if you are not offered the click & collect option at the checkout this is to due to stock availability. As all orders for click & collect are picked direct in store in Ballymun, if unavailble in store, only home delivery via our European warehouse will be offered at the checkout.

How long do I have to collect my click & collect order?

My click and collect order has been cancelled and refunded?

Unfortunately as all click and collect orders are picked direct from our store during trading hours, they are subject to adjustment in real time. Should this occur you will be refunded and notified immediately so as to avoid further inconvenience as we cannot provide alternatives via the online portal.

My ship from store order has been cancelled and refunded?

Where do online orders ship from?

All online orders placed for "Home Delivery" from warehouse are shipped from our German warehouse direct to your selected home delivery address.
Online orders placed for "Home Delivery" from store are shipped as standard from our store in Ballymun in Dublin.

Why is my order being split into two deliveries with two charges?

The reason a potential order is listed as having a split delivery is due to the availability of the products selected.
As some items may be available from our German warehouse which is the default offer for home delivery, the delivery fee for these items would be €5.99. If remaining items are currently only available from our store in Ballymun should you wish to purchase these also for home delivery a separate fee would need to be paid as it is picked, packed and shipped independently by our team in store. Alternatively a click & collect option is available which is free of charge for items that are currently only available from Ballymun.
