WARRANTY TERMS AND REGULATIONS All products manufactured by Urbanbiker S.L. are guaranteed in accordance with European Union Directive 1999/44/EC on the sale and guarantees of consumer goods. As a Spanish manufacturer, the conditions of this warranty are also supplemented, for products purchased and invoiced in Spain, by Royal Decree-Law 7/2021. All products under the Urbanbiker and UBK Systems brands are covered by a 2-year warranty for products purchased within the European Union, excluding consumables, provided that the conditions of use described in the user manual are met and the corresponding maintenance operations are carried out. The warranty for products purchased and invoiced in Spain and Portugal from January 1, 2022, onwards is 3 years, excluding consumables, provided that the conditions of use described in the user manual are met and the corresponding maintenance operations are carried out. WARRANTY COVERAGE Urbanbiker guarantees its electric bicycles and other related products under the Urbanbiker and UBK Systems trademarks against any manufacturing or assembly defect, covering: – The repair or replacement of defective parts with new ones. – The labor required for the installation or repair of parts and components, either directly or through a third party. – Shipping costs (where applicable) for sending parts to users or official points of sale from which the purchase was made. Defects arising from initial assembly or adjustments, such as gear adjustment, brake and brake pad adjustment, cable positioning, spoke tension, and quick-release systems on handlebars, saddles, wheels, and folding models, must be reported within the first 30 days from receipt of the bicycle. After this period, the user will be deemed responsible for the condition of such adjustments. Shipping costs for cases excluded from warranty coverage shall be borne by the user or the official point of sale. Loss of battery autonomy due to the passage of time does not constitute a manufacturing defect, as it is inherent to the properties of the lithium cells used in the component. Therefore, the warranty will only apply if the loss of autonomy falls below 50% of its original capacity, or if fewer than 500 full charge cycles have been completed. The warranty does not, under any circumstances, imply the provision of a replacement vehicle during the time required to resolve an issue covered by the warranty. The warranty does not cover, under any circumstances, personal injury or material damage that may result directly or indirectly from the use or failure of the product. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear of consumable parts. The following items are considered consumables: Tyres and inner tubes. Chains, disc brake rotors and brake pads. Saddle, grips and handlebar tape. Freehub bodies, O-rings and shock absorber joints. Lamps, cables and cable housings. Seals, sprockets and bottom bracket cups. Pedals and threaded components. (This list is illustrative and not exhaustive, as other consumables may also exist.) APPLICATION OF THE WARRANTY Warranty claims must be processed exclusively through the sales channel associated with the product. That is, if the product was purchased from an Official Point of Sale (whether physical or online), the warranty must be handled through that same Point of Sale and not through another, Urbanbiker being considered an additional Official Point of Sale. To make the warranty effective, the customer must always provide the purchase invoice. In all cases, the effective application of the warranty is subject to evaluation by the Urbanbiker Technical Service, which may consider exclusion of coverage for the reasons set out below. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS The warranty does not apply if the defect or failure of the part(s) results from improper and/or negligent use of the product. Improper and/or negligent use shall include: – Any use other than that inherent to the nature of the product and/or recommended in the instruction manual. – Failure to carry out the maintenance operations indicated in the instruction manual, or carrying out operations different from those mentioned that may compromise the proper functioning of the product. – Repairs carried out outside authorized workshops and/or using non-original parts or parts not approved by Urbanbiker. The warranty does not apply in cases of damage, malfunction or performance issues caused by industrial air pollutants or external agents responsible for the damage. Defects resulting from improper assembly or adjustments are also excluded.
The customer has 30 days to withdraw from the purchase from the date on which the bicycle is received. In addition, the following conditions must be met: The bicycle must not have been used other than for a test ride (maximum 10 km). A photograph showing the total mileage will be required. The product must be returned in its original packaging (protected in the same way as when it was delivered) and the bicycle must not show any damage. The product must be returned complete, including instructions, tools, keys, and accessories. No refund will be processed before the returned goods have been received and inspected. The refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise. The customer shall be responsible for any depreciation of the vehicle resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the correct functioning of the bicycle. Any return that does not comply with these criteria will be subject to a partial refund, depending on the nature of the depreciation.
