How to dress properly for snow hiking?
To dress properly in winter, whatever your activity, we recommend using the 3-layer principle:
layer 1: The high-tech base layer transfers moisture away from the body to keep your skin dry.
layer 2: The second layer (fleece, sweater) provides warmth and transfers moisture outwards.
layer 3: The jacket protects from the outdoor conditions: rain, snow, wind.
The whole outfit must be breathable in order to eliminate moisture.

Component waterproofing
We measure a fabric's resistance to a column of water expressed in mm (based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a 2000 mm waterproof rating is therefore resistant to the pressure exerted by a 2000 mm column of water (which roughly corresponds to a 2-hour downpour).
Water resistance of the jacket
This garment was approved in a shower test in 60 L of water/sqm/hour for 30 minutes. This test reproduces the conditions of a short winter shower.

Care products: waterproof spray or wash-in waterproof liquid. To regenerate the water repellent properties of the fabric and optimise the performance of your garment throughout its lifetime, use these products with each wash or more frequently.
