WHICH ATHLETES IS THIS PRODUCT FOR?
The ISO+ powder was designed for all athletes (triathletes, marathon and trail runners, etc.) who train or race for longer than three hours at a time. One serving of ISO+ (38 g) should be mixed with 500 ml of water. Generally speaking, we recommend drinking one bottle per hour of effort. However, you should always adapt your hydration to your needs based on how much you sweat.
A PRODUCT DESIGNED FOR ENDURANCE SPORTS
An isotonic drink contains the same proportion of carbs, sodium and water as your blood. This makes it easier for your body to absorb and rehydrate. The ISO+ drink also contains:
- vitamins B3 and B6, which help fight muscle fatigue,
- vitamin C and selenium help protect your cells from oxidative stress (cramps),
- minerals to replenish nutrients lost through sweat.
A NOTE ABOUT DOSING
If the proportion of carbs, sodium and water in your drink is higher than in your blood, the drink is hypertonic, not isotonic, and does not support hydration as well as an isotonic drink.
If the ISO+ is overly diluted, it is hypotonic and promotes absorption of water to the detriment of nutrient absorption.
ABOUT OUR NEW FORMULA
Our new formula contains less than 50% sugar in the carb content. We also added 1 g of branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) per 38 g serving of ISO+ with a 2:1:1 ratio of L-leucine, L-valine and L-isoleucine.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ISO AND ISO+ DRINKS?
• The ISO drink is suitable for sport sessions lasting 1 to 3 hours. We recommend mixing one 38 g serving in 500 ml of water.
• ISO+ is suitable for sport sessions lasting 3 or more hours. We recommend taking in 60 g of carbs per hour of effort, i.e., one 38 g serving of ISO+ dissolved in 500 ml of water along with a sports gel or energy bar.
MOVING TOWARDS THE SPORTS NUTRITION OF THE FUTURE: RESPONSIBLE AND MORE NATURAL BUT STILL FLAVOURFUL!
Aube, food engineer:
"Our choice of ingredients is not about regulations. We look closely at studies that highlight controversial additives in terms of ethics, the environment and health. Little by little, we work to simplify the process. We strive to develop local products that are as natural as possible. The flavour won't be as artificial, but that's a good thing!" Sounds tempting, doesn't it?
