Junior Golf Shorts

School practice becomes simpler when junior golf shorts stay folded beside a polo, belt and clean socks. Several pockets give small course items a clear place, reducing last-minute searching before lessons. Empty every pocket after play and wash the pair at 30 degrees Celsius when needed at home.

Junior Golf Shorts FAQs

Which junior golf shorts support active movement?

Stretchy synthetic fabric can help young golfers walk, bend and rotate without heavy material restricting the legs. The MW500 construction uses 91% polyester and 9% elastane, combining perspiration management with flexibility through the hips and thighs. Unlike adult cotton chinos, these junior shorts contain no cotton in their formal composition. Similar lower-body options can be considered across golf shorts, but adult specifications must not be transferred to a children's product. Ask the child to make several full swings, crouch to place a ball and walk briskly. The waistband needs to remain secure while the fabric follows movement without pulling across the seat or upper legs.

How can junior golf shorts stay comfortable during play?

Junior golf shorts need enough room around the hips and thighs for walking, bending and completing a full swing without restriction. A lightweight synthetic fabric can help reduce bulk during mild or warm rounds, while an adjustable waistband may provide a more secure fit as the child moves. Pieces from golf apparel can be added when cooler conditions require an extra layer. Ask the child to practise a few swings, crouch to place a ball and walk around before play begins. The waistband must remain comfortable without slipping or pressing into the stomach. As no certified UPF rating or waterproof construction is stated for the shorts, use separate sun or rain protection when needed.

When do junior golf shorts work best?

Junior golf shorts suit mild or warm rounds where the child needs freedom to walk, bend and swing without extra fabric around the lower legs. Lightweight material can help maintain comfort during longer practice sessions, while an adjustable waistband may keep the fit secure as the child moves. On cooler, windier or overgrown courses, golf trousers may provide more useful coverage. Shorts are not automatically waterproof or sun protective, so review the individual product details and add suitable protection when required. After play, empty the pockets and machine wash the shorts at a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius on a normal programme. Low-temperature tumble drying is permitted, but ironing, bleaching and dry cleaning are excluded.
