Waterproofing 1/2
On our warm Sailing 100 jacket:
Component is resistant to water pressure of 5000 mm Schmerber (JIS standard). This equates to the average pressure applied by the water during a rain shower.
The anorak's waterproofness was tested in a rain shower with 60 litres of water / m² / hour for 2 hours.
Waterproofing 2/2
- Injection-moulded plastic to avoid salt oxidation
- Water-repellent components (water runs off the fabric)
- 100% taped seams
- Central opening features a flap and underflap with a drainage channel for optimal waterproofing
Water repellency
Your jacket does not become waterlogged and remains lightweight and breathable. The water-repellent properties are achieved with a treatment applied to the external side of the fabric, but in practice these properties can be altered.
The water-repellent properties can be reactivated by putting the jacket in a dryer for 10 minutes at the lowest temperature.
How to reactivate the water repellency
We recommend that you lay your anorak flat on a clothes rack and leave it out to dry in the open. Caution: never dry your anorak directly on a radiator.
Then place it in the tumble dryer on a short synthetics cycle, i.e. 10 to 15 minutes, before turning it back the right way round. Caution: do not over-dry the garment.
Warmth:
The jacket remains light (880 g in size L).
Hood
Completely depth and height-adjustable hood with quilted lining (100 gsm).
Visor to provide a good level of protection and a better hold.
The high neck effectively protects the neck.
Pockets
1 inside pocket on the left chest with rip-tab closure
WARNING: the pockets are NOT WATERPROOF

Breathability
We consider that if:
RET < 9 = highly breathable fabric
9 < RET < 12 = breathable fabric
The RET of the Sailing 100 jacket is breathable

Analysing the product's environmental footprint enabled us to identify the most impactful stages of its life cycle. Thanks to this approach, our design teams were able to develop this product while significantly reducing its environmental impact.
Ecodesign actions on this product
-
Environmental Impact
Designed to reduce environmental impact
Product made with a CO2eq reduction of 56% compared to the previous or similar product
Our design teams are working to develop processes that will reduce the impact of a product, while preserving its technical characteristics. This reduction relates to the following indicators: climate change, air pollution, water pollution and resource depletion.
-
Material
Recycled polyester
Product made from 44% recycled polyester
Using recycled polyester rather than conventional polyester reduces the CO2 emissions linked to the material by at least 16%.
-
Process
Biton
Product made from 16% yarn combining dyed and undyed fibres
Using this dyeing process enables us to reduce the CO2 emissions linked to the production of the dyed component by at least 60% compared to conventional dyeing.
-
Process
Dope dyed
Product made from 30% dope dyed yarn
Using this mass-dyeing process enables us to reduce CO2 emissions linked to the production of dyed textiles by at least 46% compared to conventional dyeing.
