Description

Design details

Fleece component: Insulation provided by air
The fleece component is designed to trap the air thanks to the volume created by its texture. This air keeps the body warm with its natural insulating properties. The brushed knit fabric is what traps the air.
Component water resistance
The comp. on the bottom of the leg is water repellant A fabric's water repellent property is its capacity to make water run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. A fabric becomes water repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (recommended after every wash). Products are available for this purpose in our stores.
How to dress properly for snow hiking?
To dress properly in winter, whatever your activity, we recommend using the 3-layer principle: Layer 1: The high-tech base layer transfers moisture away from the body to keep your skin dry. layer 2: The second layer (fleece, sweater) provides warmth and transfers moisture outwards. layer 3: The jacket protects from the outdoor conditions: rain, snow, wind. The whole outfit must be breathable in order to eliminate moisture.
Will my trousers withstand regular use over a long period?
To check the durability of our products, we carry out tests on the components selected: resistance to rubbing and abrasion, colour fastness, resistance to repeated washing. All these tests have been carried out on the component used for these trousers.
How does my product warranty work?
This product is guaranteed for 2 years from the date shown on the sales receipt. A product covered by the warranty will be repaired or exchanged free of charge. The warranty covers product defects, excluding those resulting from normal wear and tear and improper use.
What is the environmental impact of a product and how can I compare it?
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle using different indicators. A score from A to E is given to help you easily identify the more eco-friendly products by comparing products of the same type. Decathlon is committed to this approach.
