Adapter compatibility with phone covers
The adapter features a sliding mechanism that locks onto a mounting plate. This plate can be stuck to your smartphone cover. Please note, however, that we do not recommend the use of covers made of imitation leather, glass, Plexiglas (a very smooth material) or neoprene. When you use the plate for the first time, make sure it is firmly set. Also when you’re using it, make sure you always keep one hand on your phone for safety.
How do you attach the plate to your phone cover?
To attach the plate, use the template included on the box of the product. This template ensures that the plate is correctly positioned so that everything is properly aligned with your phone’s camera.
Additional information
The pack includes: -the adapter -a plate -3 plastic inserts in different sizes -3 adhesives to attach the plate to your phone On the adapter, there is a locking mechanism. It allows you to lock or unlock the adapter from the plate. You can attach or remove it as needed.
Features of our digiscoping adapter
Worried about blurry or failed shots? With this adapter, put your fears to rest: digiscoping will become child’s play! Our model comes with a soft plastic insert. This is designed to adapt to the size of your binoculars’ eyepiece. Check beforehand that the eyecup diameter of your binoculars matches the inside diameter of one of our 3 inserts: -small: 41 mm -medium: 43.5 mm -large: 46 mm
Compatibility with binoculars
The 3 inserts ensure compatibility with the full range of Solognac binoculars (except the 8x25, 10x26 and porro 10x50). They are also compatible with most major binocular brands of similar formats.
Recommendations
We recommend attaching the adapter to the eyecup of screw-in binoculars to achieve a full field of view. We also suggest using this digiscoping adapter with a pair of binoculars mounted on a tripod using a mount (ref. 8862046) to reduce vibrations and ensure greater image stability.
A few notes on digiscoping
Digiscoping is the art of capturing photos of the scenes you observe through your binoculars using your smartphone. Whether it’s a bird on a branch, a fox in a field, or a stag bellowing at sunset... However, achieving good results can be challenging without the right accessory: you might shake, or not keep the right distance between your phone’s camera and the binoculars’ eyecup. With our adapter, this is history.
