Design details

A word from the product manager
This binding provides a great combination of support, comfort and ease of use. We have devoted particular attention to the materials, ergonomics, as well as the quality of the accessories (buckles, straps, etc.)..
Programme / Terrain
The Illusion is a good conventional binding with gentle ratchets, which are easy to click in place and durable. It has _ Ergonomic straps, _ Short yet stiff highback (good rear support, as well as manoeuvrability of the ankle in rotation), _ 2 cushioning pads (heel and toes) _ Settings: highback angle + front/rear highback + front/rear gas pedal. In short, as you may expect, you will be well supported on any terrain (groomed slopes/off-piste/snow park).
Opening system with the Turn Strap System
The strap is mounted onto a hinge which allows it to turn towards the outside when you lift your foot. The space is clear when you step in, meaning you won’t step on the strap and buckles.
Support
The support is provided by 2 straps, which can be adjusted separately. It's a little longer for the Wed'ze Expedite 2.0 binding or the Flow Flite binding, but the support provided by the boots is much better. In particular, it is very useful for good riders and at high speeds. This is when you will need this level of support to steer your board properly.
The available settings
The factory settings suit most people, however you can adjust the following to suit your needs _ The position of the highback (front/rear/side) _ The angle of the highback, _ The length of the gas pedal, which is particularly useful for those with big feet.
Stance (binding spacings)
Don't be afraid to go for a strong angle for your stature - you'll have a lower stance with greater stability. If you don't know what your stance is, put your bindings on the recommended inserts indicated by a mark.
What angles should you use for the bindings?
For on-piste/freeriding, we recommend +18° at the front, and 0° at the rear. For multipurpose/freestyle use, select the +18° and -9° settings (the rear opening gives more flexibility when riding switch). For pure freestyle use, do not hesitate to select completely symmetric angles, e.g. +12° and -12°.
Which sizes should I choose for my Illusion bindings?
We recommend: M = 2.5-10 L = 7.5-14 However, as you would try a shoe with your own foot, we strongly recommend that you try on the binding with your boot. Because, depending on the brand, the volume of a particular size of boot may vary.
