The Choucas Harness from BLUE ICE features an optimized design to reduce weight without sacrificing comfort. With a stated weight of 142 g and high-strength materials like UHMW polyethylene and reinforced PES, this harness remains compact for transport and prolonged effort.
The wide waist and thigh straps ensure even load distribution and superior comfort while suspended. The design includes an adjustable rear elastic and efficient buckles for reliable support during activity.
Equipped with four large gear loops and two slots for ice screw holders on the belt (plus two more on the leg loops depending on the version), the Choucas allows for easy organization of ice axes, screws, and other essential accessories in high mountains.
The harness is easy to put on with skis or crampons, and the new quick adjustment system allows for fast adjustments even with gloves, practical for transitions in ski touring and on glaciers.
Constructed with high-quality components (aerospace aluminum for some parts, acetal, and polyamide monofilament for the buckles), the Choucas meets CE/EN 12277 standards and UIAA certification, ensuring safety and durability in alpine environments.
