Dynamic elongation approx: as single rope: 37% / as half rope: 32% / as twin rope: 29%. Impact force: as single rope: 7.4 kN / as half rope: 5.5 kN / as twin rope: 8.8 kN. Impregnated: yes. Sheath proportion approx: 39%. Sheath displacement: 0 mm. Material: 100% polyamide. Norm falls: as twin rope: >25 / as half rope: 18 / as single rope: 5. Standards or markings: CE / EN 892 / UIAA. Rope diameter approx: 8.5 mm. Rope weight per meter approx: 48 g. Rope type: single rope / half rope / twin rope. Static elongation approx: as twin rope: 5.1% / as half rope: 8.4% / as single rope: 8.4%. The Opera 8.5 mm DRY COVER UNICORE is the lightest and thinnest single rope on the market according to Beal, also certified as half and twin rope. Beal has combined its expertise and the best technologies in this rope. The result is a low impact force, UNICORE technology, and a DRY COVER impregnation. The UNICORE process is an amazing manufacturing process that connects the rope sheath with the core without affecting the characteristic flexibility of the rope. If the sheath is cut or torn, the sheath and core remain connected. If the sheath of a classic rope is damaged by friction on edges, it slips and shifts over several meters, making it impossible to overcome this point during ascent or descent. In the DRY COVER treatment, every thread of the sheath is impregnated before manufacturing. This impregnation occurs at high temperatures through polymerization and improves abrasion resistance. The polymerization process and treatment of each individual thread increase the lifespan of the impregnation. This treatment makes ropes more resistant to abrasion, repeated falls, heat, dust, moisture, and significantly increases their durability.
