These brake pads are a replacement part for the mechanical disc brakes of electric fat bikes such as the V8 and V20. When you brake, the calliper presses the pads against the brake disc and the friction slows the bike down. Pads wear with use and an electric fat bike is heavy, so check them regularly. If you hear grinding or squealing, or the braking distance gets longer, it is time for new pads. The pads give even braking force and stay reliable in wet weather. Always replace both pads of a brake at the same time and bed them in carefully afterwards. Before ordering, check that your bike has mechanical disc brakes.
