MASSIVE SPARK SHOWER THAT LIGHTS TINDER IN SECONDS: Our XXL premium ferrocerium rod produces a 5,400°F spark shower that ignites dry tinder, cotton balls, and fatwood on the first strike. The high-purity ferro composition generates hotter, larger sparks than standard magnesium rods, giving you reliable fire-starting confidence whether you are at a campsite, in a survival situation, or teaching your family essential bushcraft skills. Works even when soaking wet—simply wipe dry and strike.
THICK 1 CM (3/8 IN) DIAMETER ROD BUILT FOR 15,000+ STRIKES: At a full 10 cm (4 in) long and 1 cm (3/8 in) thick (approximately the width of a standard pencil eraser), this ferro rod is substantially larger than budget alternatives that often disappoint with thin, short rods. The extra mass provides a comfortable grip surface, produces more sparks per strike, and lasts for over 15,000 strikes - enough for years of regular camping use or a lifetime of emergency readiness.
ERGONOMIC GRIP HIGH-SPEED STEEL STRIKER - the flint striker is made of hardened steel. Designed and tested to make it as comfortable as possible to have a firm grip and easy to start a fire in any weather (even in extreme cold rainy weather) and at any altitude by men, women, boy and girl scouts. The striker and rod are connected with a fluorescent paracord lanyard to make it easy to find in the dark and prevent separation.
EASY TO USE FOR BEGINNERS AND EXPERIENCED OUTDOORSMEN ALIKE: The ergonomic handle provides a secure, comfortable grip even with wet or cold hands, and the textured striker edge catches the rod cleanly on every pass. No special technique required - hold at a 45-degree angle, press firmly, and scrape. The protective coating scrapes off easily in 2–3 passes, unlike cheaper rods that require extensive preparation before your first spark.
WATERPROOF EMERGENCY FIRE STARTER FOR CAMPING, HIKING, SURVIVAL KITS, AND EVERYDAY CARRY: This ferro rod works reliably in rain, snow, wind, and high altitude where matches and lighters fail. Compact enough to fit in a pants pocket or attach to a backpack or belt, yet substantial enough to use comfortably with gloves on. An essential addition to your camping gear, bug out bag, vehicle emergency kit, or hunting pack. Makes an excellent practical gift for the outdoors enthusiast in your family.
