Totem Cam – Confidence you can trust in every crack. The Totem Cam is a revolutionary tool in the world of traditional protection. Designed for the most demanding climbers, it offers unparalleled versatility, holding strength, and placement precision. This microfriend has earned a reputation as one of the most trusted tools for protection in cracks – from thin micro-splits to wide rock fissures. The heart of the Totem Cam's construction is the patented Direct Loading system, which evenly distributes force across each cam lobe. This allows Totems to hold better, work more reliably in asymmetric cracks, and maintain stability even when partially placed. This makes them exceptionally effective in areas where other mechanisms fail. The Totem Cam also stands out for its flexibility and narrow head, allowing it to be placed in hard-to-reach spots, such as narrow cracks or uneven seams. The soft sling and appropriately chosen elasticity reduce the 'walking' of the friend, meaning once placed, the Totem has a significantly lower tendency to shift when the rope is loaded. Ergonomic features, such as an easy-to-use trigger (even while wearing gloves), color-coded size markings, and a solid, compact construction with metal rivets complete the design. Totem Cams are hand-assembled in Barcelona, ensuring the highest quality and attention to detail. Note: The Totem Cam does not have passive strength, so it is recommended to use it according to the user manual. Key features: Narrow head in smaller sizes: Allows placement in narrow seams where other mechanisms may not fit. Ability to load on two lobes: Thanks to its unique design, the Totem Cam can be used in situations where traditional mechanisms fail. Minimal movement of the mechanism: Strong springs and flexible construction reduce the risk of unwanted shifts after placement. Easy removal: Smooth operation of the mechanism makes disassembly quick and hassle-free. Ergonomic handling: The specially designed grip allows for comfortable use even while wearing gloves. Wide range of expansion: Each size covers a larger range of cracks, increasing the versatility of the mechanism. Lightweight and durable: Made from high-quality materials, the Totem Cam combines low weight with durability. Technical specifications: Working range: 25.7-42.3mm, Strength: 13kN, Weight: 109g.
