Technically, the Lifeline uses advanced ultrafiltration technology to provide a high level of safety. It is capable of filtering up to 5,000 liters of water, removing 99.9999% of bacteria and 99.99% of cysts and parasites. This long lifespan ensures that you are prepared for multiple trips or long-term use. Additionally, the included activated carbon disc improves the taste and odor of the water by reducing chemicals like chlorine and heavy metals such as lead and nickel for up to 100 liters.
One of the most important safety features is the FailSafe technology. This system ensures that once the filter membranes are blocked or reach the end of their life, water will stop passing through. This prevents you from accidentally drinking contaminated water, giving you complete peace of mind. The filter is also versatile; it can be connected to gravity bags or squeeze pouches, allowing you to adapt your filtration method to the specific needs of your journey.
