The Minion DHR II’s tread was completely reworked for aggressive gravity riding. The side knobs inspired by the DHF, slightly widened, increase the contact area in corners to deliver stability and confidence on committed lines.
Chamfered centre knobs improve traction during accelerations while dedicated notches ease transitions into corners. Part of the centre knobs features a "paddle" shape that bites into the ground under heavy braking to enhance control.
The tread uses the SuperTacky 42a compound, a reference for freeride and downhill tyres. This blend prioritises maximum grip on varied surfaces while relying on a firmer base for longevity.
The 60 DW casing offers increased resistance to impacts and cuts, suitable for the most demanding terrain encountered in downhill and e‑MTB DH use. The tubetype construction (inner tube mounting) and the supple bead make fitting and maintenance easier.
