When it comes to technical features, supreme fit, and ultimate responsiveness, the Thraxis is an undeniable benchmark in the freeride category. It is the stiffest-flexing and most supportive model in our collection; this snowboard boot meets the demands of the most discerning snowboarders. The Thraxis's zonal BOA® fit system features three BOA® dials: two dedicated to zonal exterior lacing, and one controlling K2's Conda™ liner lacing system. By placing a flexible urethane chip around the 45° angle of the ankle, we allow snowboarders to micro-adjust the fit of their boot and eliminate heel lift. Wrapping the foot, we have integrated our most supportive liner, made of multiple densities of heat-mouldable Intuition™ foam. This open-cell foam can be re-moulded again and again to achieve the perfect fit throughout the life of the boot. The liner features our breathable and heat-reflecting Spaceheater™ material, keeping snowboarders warm and dry all day long. Finally, we have integrated a 95% post-consumer recycled S'Café™ coffee mesh into the liner to help eliminate unwanted odours after a long day on the mountain. Underfoot, the midsole combines a lightweight, stable EVA and our Harshmellow™, a proprietary technology that helps absorb shock, increases cushioning, and provides a "quieter" feel when snowboarding. The outsole of the Thraxis snowboard boot is our Vibram® V5 sole, offering unparalleled traction in the boot pack, and is made using at least 30% recycled rubber from Vibram®.
