METROPASS PRO tire - 28X2.0 - tr. rigid - 4S / RI / REF
Puncture protection, total visibility.
Sold and shipped by Sports Lab IE
The MAXXIS METROPASS PRO is a tire designed for urban cycling, hybrid cycling, and trekking, offering a combination of performance, safety, and durability for everyday use on asphalt and gravel paths.
Beads: Rigid Bead
Rigid (or metal) beads ensure a secure fit on the rim and are often chosen for their robustness and excellent value.
Puncture Protection: 4S (or Maxxis Silkworm) / RI (Breaker - Integral Reinforcement)
The 4S and/or RI designations (likely for Reflect/Integral, or a reinforcement rating) indicate enhanced puncture protection (often Maxxis Silkworm technology or similar) that extends across the tread to minimize the risk of punctures from urban debris (glass, thorns).
Reflective Strip: REF (Reflective)
The presence of a reflective strip on the tire sidewall significantly increases your lateral visibility in low-light conditions or at night, thus improving your safety in urban environments.
