Motorex Copper Paste is a copper paste that forms an effective barrier layer between metal surfaces from -40 °C to +900 °C—and even up to +1200 °C for short periods—thereby preventing wear. The paraffin-based base oil is effective up to a temperature of 280 °C; above this temperature, lubrication is provided by the copper particles. These particles also provide optimal corrosion protection for the treated parts. It is particularly suitable for static applications and as an assembly aid.Motorex Copper Paste is used as an assembly paste for all types of screws, threads, and press-fit joints. Thanks to its high content of microscopic copper particles, it permanently prevents erosion or seizing caused by rust. The assembly paste has proven itself exceptionally well in applications subject to high thermal and mechanical stress, such as bolted joints in exhaust systems, turbocharger mountings, tight fits in ship propellers, threads and screws for valves and superheated steam system fittings, etc. A thin film of Copper Paste on all moving parts of disc brakes permanently prevents unpleasant squeaking and whistling. Also suitable for heavily loaded, low-speed plain bearings and car door hinges.Caution: Apply with a brush.
