Features of the product - Petzl Irvis Leverlock Universal crampon designed for glacier hiking, classic mountaineering, and ski touring - 10 steel points providing stability and grip on hard snow and icy sections - Two attachment systems: LEVERLOCK UNIVERSAL for shoes with a rear welt and FLEXLOCK for shoes without welts - ANTISNOW system to limit snowballing and improve efficiency on mixed terrain - ALPEN ADAPT modularity: front blocks, bars, anti-balling system, and attachments can be replaced independently - Tool-free adjustment and compact, lightweight design (maximum weight 790 g with ANTISNOW) Construction and materials The Irvis crampons are primarily made of steel to ensure maximum durability in mountain conditions. The components combine steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and polyamide to balance robustness and lightness. Performance and stability The 10-point configuration, including two wide front points, maximizes flotation on snow and traction on ice, providing reliable stability during walks on snowfields and steep passages. Attachment and compatibility Available with two attachment systems, LEVERLOCK UNIVERSAL for shoes with a rear welt and FLEXLOCK for shoes without welts, the crampons fit most mountain shoes (narrow, soft, telemark, snowboard boots). Anti-balling and user comfort The ANTISNOW system limits snowballing under the crampons in all conditions, enhancing comfort and safety. Additionally, length adjustment is done without tools for quick field adjustments. Modularity and maintenance Thanks to the ALPEN ADAPT system, front blocks, bars, anti-balling elements, and attachment systems can be replaced independently, facilitating repairs and adaptation according to evolving needs or equipment.
