Adorned with crystals at the front, the AIRBAG FREEJUMP CRYSTAL is a protective vest specially designed for horse riding to shield the rider's vital areas in the event of a fall. It can be worn over a thin layer of clothing (t-shirt, sweatshirt, or thin jumper) or over a jacket. France is the first country to adopt a standard governing the manufacture of equestrian airbags as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While waiting for European harmonisation, the NF S72-800-2022 standard ensures increased protection by defining strict criteria for the protective surface, inflation speed, and impact testing. The AIRBAG FREEJUMP CRYSTAL is the first equestrian airbag vest to be certified according to this standard, achieving the necessary pressure and full inflation for optimal protection in just 98 milliseconds (for size S), thus exceeding the standard's requirements. In addition to meeting safety requirements, the AIRBAG FREEJUMP CRYSTAL stands out for its ability to resist horizontal impacts while offering exceptional protection against longitudinal impacts on the spine. Optimised protection zone. The AIRBAG FREEJUMP CRYSTAL provides optimised protection for the cervical area, back, lower back, sacrum, pelvis, and thorax. It takes into account the wearing of a certified riding helmet and incorporates a stabilising collar to protect the spine and vital areas. The protection for the nape, thorax, and back is tailored to each size, ensuring coverage of 24% of the chest circumference and 100% of the torso length from waist to shoulder for the thorax, and 20% of the chest circumference and 120% of the torso length for the back. A lateral protection ensures perfect alignment of the torso, while the spine, pelvis, hips, and vital organs receive enhanced protection thanks to two bust heights for sizes XS, S, M, and L, available in regular or long versions. Comfort and performance. The AIRBAG FREEJUMP CRYSTAL is made with soft, perforated Italian fabrics at the sides, providing exceptional comfort and ventilation. Its fitted cut and design with soft materials ensure optimal protection and maximum comfort. The crystals on the chest add elegance and distinction. The safety cord is equipped with a textile loop to avoid noise when it comes into contact with the clip of the ball cord. Compatibility. The AIRBAG FREEJUMP vest is designed to be worn over or under a compatible jacket. The NF S-72-800-2022 standard requires an official compatibility test by the CRITT for all jackets worn over an airbag. The AIRBAG FREEJUMP vest has been tested by the CRITT, ensuring its compliance and safety. While awaiting a possible evolution of the standard during its European harmonisation, FREEJUMP guarantees that all jackets compatible with airbags from other brands and certified NF S72-800-2022 are also compatible with the AIRBAG FREEJUMP and PÉNÉLOPE vest. The proper functioning of the AIRBAG FREEJUMP is guaranteed regardless of the compatible jacket used, as long as the cable comes out from underneath the jacket (and not through the jacket via a potential hole designed for that purpose). To ensure maximum protection and optimal comfort for riders, the FREEJUMP clothing range, including the competition jackets MONA and MAX, sleeveless jackets KLOE and KARL, rain jackets MADDY and MATT, and the hoodie MALLORY, has been specifically designed to be compatible with the AIRBAG FREEJUMP vest when worn underneath.
