The Premium helmet from Antarès is characterised by its shiny shell combined with leather inserts and harness. Customisation of your helmet Antarès If you wish, you can change the colours of the strap, headband, and triangle of this model to have a unique helmet. In its classic version, its elements are chromed. You can choose your helmet customisation colours according to your preferences! We have written a blog article on helmet customisation to make it easy for you. Composition of your Premium Eclipse riding helmet The shell The outer shell of the helmet is made of ABS. Its role is to disperse the energy from the impact across the surface of the helmet. When your helmet hits an object, the shell distributes the shock wave, dissipating it. Rigid and lightweight, it is known for its high scratch resistance. The inner padding Made of EPS (expanded polystyrene), it absorbs the energy emitted by the impact by contracting. The padding then becomes much denser. Its density varies according to the sizes of our helmets. To see the effects of an impact on the padding, check out our blog article. Ventilation Its 4 front vents and 2 rear extractors provide good air circulation. Thermal regulation is therefore improved. The retention system The harness ensures that the helmet stays securely on the rider's head. It consists of 3 points. The Y-shaped fixation system has points that are further apart, reducing helmet rotation. The straps are made of nylon, and the buckles are made of POM. The helmet pads In contact with the rider's head, the high-end foams allow for a perfect fit of your riding helmet and optimal comfort. Whether your head shape is round or oval, they will adapt to your morphology. Removable, these inner pads can be regularly taken out and cleaned to maintain the helmet's cleanliness. Made in Italy, they are breathable, certified OEKO-TEX®, and hand washable in lukewarm water. The foams are sold with the helmet. Our riding helmets are handmade in our workshop in Saintes. We present you with their creation process. The Eclipse visor The Eclipse visor is designed for a female clientele. Very trendy and elegant, it is inspired by women's hats. It protects riders from the sun while affirming their femininity. The wide visor has been designed to shield the skin from the sun and external climate aggressions without compromising the wide field of vision essential for any discipline. The European standard EN1384-2023 requires the visor to flex when a load is applied to it. This is to prevent it from breaking and injuring the rider. The visors of Antarès helmets are therefore intentionally flexible. In case of deformation, it can be manually adjusted to restore its original shape. The helmet bag is ideal for protecting and transporting your helmet easily. It is designed down to the smallest detail, with a large central pocket and a big zipper to facilitate helmet storage.
