Sea to Summit Ultra-Sil Dry Bag 35L waterproof dry sack
Sold and shipped by Outdoor Food
Packing your backpack for a multi-day hike or a long overseas adventure requires a balance between organization and weight management. The Sea to Summit Ultra-Sil Dry Bag 35L is the ultimate solution for outdoor enthusiasts who need to keep bulky gear dry without adding unnecessary grams to their load. This spacious dry sack is specifically engineered to protect critical items like sleeping bags, puffy jackets, or your entire wardrobe from dampness and rain inside your pack. By compartmentalizing your gear, you transform a messy rucksack into a neatly organized system, allowing you to focus on the trail ahead rather than searching for dry socks.
The design of the Ultra-Sil Dry Bag addresses common frustrations found with standard storage sacks. One of its standout features is the semi-translucent fabric. Instead of opening multiple bags to find what you need, the sheer material allows you to identify the contents instantly, saving time and hassle at camp. Furthermore, the shape is intentionally designed with an oval base rather than a round one. This seemingly simple innovation prevents the bag from rolling away when placed on sloping ground—a frequent occurrence in mountainous terrain—and also allows the bag to stack more efficiently inside the internal contours of a backpack.
From a technical perspective, this dry bag utilizes high-tenacity 30D Ultra-Sil Cordura nylon. This fabric is renowned for being incredibly light yet remarkably strong. The siliconized finish gives the exterior a slippery texture, which serves a practical purpose: it allows the bag to slide easily into tight spaces within a fully loaded pack, reducing friction against other gear. The seams are fully taped and reinforced to prevent water ingress. The closure system features a non-wicking Hypalon roll-top strip that ensures a watertight seal when rolled down three times. With a hydrostatic head of 2000mm, it provides excellent protection against the elements.
