The cassette incorporates Shimano Hyperglide technology, which delivers fast, precise and quiet gear changes. The tooth profiles are machined to ease chain engagement and release, reducing jerks during shifting.
Offered in multiple combinations (11‑25, 12‑28, 11‑32, 11‑34, etc.), the CS‑HG500 lets you adjust the gear range according to terrain and riding style. Tight spacings favour pedalling economy on the road, while wide ranges (e.g. 11‑34) are suitable for climbs and all‑mountain riding.
Manufactured primarily from steel for improved fatigue and wear resistance, the cassette features a solid, robust design intended for frequent and demanding use.
Intended for the rear position, the CS‑HG500 is compatible with Shimano 10‑speed drivetrains, notably Deore 10V and GRX 10V. It fits standard Shimano freehub bodies for simple and reliable installation.
Several spacings are offered depending on the model: 12‑28 (295 g), 11‑25, 11‑28, 11‑32, 11‑34, as well as other combinations to meet specific performance and climbing needs.
