The Elegance of Performance
Sold and shipped by Pure Experience
The e*thirteen Sidekick hub features a unique anti-rollback drive mechanism with an adjustable deadband, delivering smooth suspension performance, reduced fatigue, and near-silent operation for an unparalleled riding experience.
The Sidekick hub is a revolutionary step forward in the world of mountain bike wheels. Designed and tested with the world’s best teams and riders over several seasons, the Sidekick hub promises to improve the suspension performance of any full-suspension mountain bike. Its revolutionary freewheel mechanism disengages the drivetrain from the rear wheel when coasting, and an adjustable deadband filters pedal rollback and chain vibrations before they reach the pedals, virtually eliminating the effects of pedal bounce on the suspension. With the drive mechanism disengaged from the ratchet ring, drag is significantly reduced. The result is an impeccably smooth ride over the roughest terrain, improved traction, increased speed and control, and reduced fatigue. Its near-silent operation immerses you in the outdoor experience, letting you hear nothing but the wind in your ears and the sound of your tires on the trail.
An adjustable ratchet pusher allows for tool-free dead spot adjustment between 12°, 15°, and 18° to suit rider preference, bike type, and terrain.
The dead spot's filtered chain tension ensures the suspension isn't hindered by pedal kickback resistance, resulting in improved, more consistent performance and easier adjustment.
A durable 60T ratchet ring with an innovative, push-driven ratchet system ensures quiet operation and reduced drag by remaining disengaged except when pedaling.
Reduced pedal kickback, chain slap, and vibration mean a quieter, more comfortable ride.
Ultimate reliability: World Cup proven and fully repairable and rebuildable, you can confidently push your limits.
This version features 28 holes and a Microspline body.
