The Smith Descend MIPS matte slate/black ski helmet combines advanced protective technologies with a comfortable design, creating a versatile solution for all-mountain skiing enthusiasts. The EPS polystyrene inner shell, along with Koroyd® and Mips® systems, guarantees a high level of energy absorption during impacts, increasing safety in challenging mountain conditions. Koroyd® and Mips® protection systems Koroyd® technology is responsible for effectively absorbing impact forces thanks to the material's cylindrical structure, while Mips® reduces rotational forces acting on the head during a fall. The Smith Descend MIPS model utilises both of these technologies, providing an enhanced level of protection in various situations on the slopes. The use of these solutions is confirmed by EN 1077:2007 Class B and ASTM F 2040 certifications. Comfort and ventilation on the slopes AirEvac™ passive ventilation ensures optimal airflow, effectively reducing overheating and goggle fogging during intense exertion. The ergonomic shape and soft ear pads increase user comfort without compromising on protection. The helmet is also equipped with a buckle that allows for quick and secure fastening, even when wearing ski gloves. Construction compliant with standards The EPS polystyrene used in the inner shell shows high resistance to deformation caused by impact, which translates into effective force dissipation. The model meets the requirements of EN 1077:2007 Class B and ASTM F 2040 standards, confirming its protective effectiveness in difficult conditions. The Smith Descend MIPS matte slate/black ski helmet is designed for versatile use by both men and women riding in an all-mountain style.
