Why Choose the Zafu Cushion
The Zafu is a round meditation cushion with gently gathered edges, specifically designed to support proper posture during meditation. Its curved sides allow the legs to naturally drop from the hips, positioning the knees lower than the hips. This alignment helps the spine maintain its curves, making meditation more comfortable and relaxing over longer sessions.
Unlike crescent-shaped cushions, the Zafu offers exceptional versatility. It can be used under the pelvis in Sukhasana (cross-legged seated posture) or in Vajrasana (diamond pose) to support the hips between the knees. It is especially beneficial for practitioners with limited external hip rotation.
The Zafu cushion also features a practical carry handle, making it easy to take with you wherever you practice. For best care, please follow the instructions on the inner labels.
The fabric of both the outer and inner layers of the pillow is made from durable 100% organic cotton. It is ethically produced in India and certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). The pillows are filled with buckwheat hulls. |
