What type of product is this service intended for?
Want to boost your cardio sessions? Give your fitness machine a full check-up! Our servicing package covers key safety checks, mechanical inspections and lubrication to maintain peak performance. This general maintenance service applies to your treadmill, exercise bike, elliptical trainer, indoor cycling bike or rowing machine. Head to your nearest Decathlon workshop today!
What exactly does this service involve?
This service includes a diagnostic check of your fitness machine. The technician checks all fasteners, tightens screws, removes the shrouds if necessary to access mechanical components, lubricates and greases moving parts and completes a thorough cleaning. Wear-and-tear parts are not included if they need to be replaced. The service concludes with a safety check and a functional test to verify that the equipment complies with requirements.
What is included in the price of this service? Are spare parts included ?
The service covers labour only. The necessary spare parts are not included and will be subject to a separate quote (parts and labour). However, for servicing packages, small consumables (lubricants, greases, cleaners) are included in the price.
How does the process work for my fitness equipment?
Getting your equipment serviced is straightforward: simply drop it off at the Decathlon store of your choice. We will generally arrange for it to be sent to our specialised Decathlon regional workshop, where our technicians will carry out a diagnostic check and provide a quote.
Is there a fee for the diagnostic check?
Our expert technicians will perform a comprehensive diagnostic check completely FREE—with absolutely no obligation to proceed with repairs. Following this assessment, you will be sent an accurate quote: no repairs will be carried out or billed without your green light.
What is included in the diagnostic check?
The safety and structural integrity of your fitness equipment are thoroughly checked: frame, welds, locking mechanisms and electrical safety. Our teams then assess its overall performance by thoroughly testing the console, electronics, resistance, drive system and bearings.
How long does the service take?
Once your product has been dropped off in-store, it is sent to a specialised Decathlon workshop. Due to its high technical complexity, the diagnostic check and repairs are carried out by our experts. The overall turnaround time varies depending on logistics, scheduling, communication and the availability of parts. Rest assured, your equipment is in safe hands and we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
How long is the warranty on labour and parts?
There is a 3-month workshop warranty on labour to ensure your equipment is restored to perfect condition. In addition, there is a 2-year statutory warranty on all new parts fitted.
Do you repair non-Decathlon machines?
A different brand of machine? No problem, we look at every repair request individually. You can contact your local store or check the list on our support website before visiting to find out whether Decathlon supports your brand. Our basic packages are designed for Decathlon equipment. Repairing other brands will depend on the availability of spare parts and the complexity of the job, and may increase the quoted cost.
How do I maintain my fitness machine to prevent future breakdowns?
Proper maintenance prevents breakdowns and extends the lifespan of your machine. Remember to tighten the screws and wipe off sweat with a soft cloth to prevent corrosion. If you own a treadmill, lubricate the running deck to protect the motor and ensure a smooth running experience. Finally, store your equipment in a dry place at room temperature, away from any moisture. For more tips, please refer to the product support page.
