A WORD FROM THE TEAM
This ST 560 mountain bike has been entirely designed and developed at the B'Twin Village in France (Lillle). A comfortable, efficient mountain bike: more progressive hydraulic disc brakes, 100mm fork travel, double chainwheel, light frame and wheels, grippy tyres... Mountain bikers have been involved at every stage of the project to ensure this bike is the best. And we hope that the Rockrider ST 560 helps you make the most of your MTB tours.
A UNISEX MOUNTAIN BIKE
Men's or women's mountain bike? This Rockrider ST 560 mountain bike is unisex. For greater comfort, the women on our mountain bike team recommend replacing the saddle with the Women's 500 Sport saddle, which is adapted to women's bodies. A range of Rockrider mountain bikes specifically designed to fit female morphology is also available (specialised saddle, stem, fork and brake grips).
CHOOSING YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKE SIZE
Several sizes available: S: between 1.50m and 1.64m M: between 1.65m and 1.74m L: between 1.74m and 1.84m XL: between 1.85 m and 2.00 m If you are on the limit between 2 sizes: Choose the smaller size for easier steering (easier to handle) and comfort (straighter back). Choose the larger size for easier pedalling with a more stretched-out position (position more suited to performance).
A LIGHT AND MORE COMFORTABLE FRAME
Our teams have specially designed the Rockrider CGF Pro frame in 6061 aluminium (only 1.6 kg in size M). It is 300g lighter than the CGF Evo of the ST 520/ ST 540 thanks to the double butted front triangle. It is also more stable when turning thanks to the lower bottom bracket, and easier to handle thanks to the short chain stays.
THE FRONT 100MM SUSPENSION
Tackle obstacles with the ROCKSHOX XC30 fork. Its 100 mm travel allows you to calmly move over more obstacles (roots, pebbles, stones, mud). Use the wheel on the left blade to adjust the stiffness of the fork based on your weight. Its COMBO LOCK quick-release handlebar system helps to prevent bobbing on rolling sections.
REAR SUSPENSION: NONE
This mountain bike has no rear suspension. This is a "semi-rigid" mountain bike. Compared to a full suspension mountain bike (with rear suspension), the advantages are clear: lighter weight, you will spend less energy on flat ground. However, if you want more comfort on technical trails, the ST 560 also exists in a "full suspension" version with a rear shock absorber (ST 560 S).
DOUBLE CHAINWHEEL DERAILLEUR AND DRIVETRAIN
2 10-speed chainwheels, or 20 speeds to avoid doubles and lighten the bike. 2 quick and easy shifters on the handlebar. Left (chainwheels): control ascents/descents. Right (speeds): more precise control over your pedalling. In detail: - Double chainwheels - 24 and 38 teeth - SRAM X5 front derailleur - SRAM X5 rear derailleur - SRAM X5 shifters - SRAM PG1020 10 cog cassette, 11 to 36 teeth
HANDLEBARS, STEM, GRIPS
The adjustable stem brings the controls for the ST 560 easily under your hands. The all-aluminium B'Twin stem is 70 mm (size S), 80 mm (size M/L), or 90 mm (size XL) and can be raised using 5 adjustment intervals: + 0mm, + 7.5mm, + 15mm, + 22.5mm, + 30mm. Ergonomic grips for a natural grip without getting tired.
COMFORTABLE, SPORTY SADDLE/SEAT POST
Our teams conceived and designed an exclusive saddle for this bike. Suitable for all hip sizes, its "hammock" shape is particularly good for sport touring. The Flex 27.2mm diameter aluminium seatpost also contributes to its increased level of comfort. Quick and easy tool-free adjustment of your saddle height using the adjustment lever on the seat post clamp.
DOUBLE HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKES
No matter what conditions you ride in (dry/wet), the B'Twin by Tektro 160mm front and rear double hydraulic disc brakes will do the job, even in the mud. Hydraulic braking adds more power and progressive braking and requires less powerful use of the brake levers. The aluminium brake levers are easy to grip, lightweight, and precise.
LIGHT, DOUBLE-WALLED RIMS & LIGHT, WIDE TYRES
Embark on new adventures with the new, lighter 27.5" double-walled aluminium wheels. These specially-designed sleeve-jointed rims, combined with lighter tyres, are 600g lighter than those on the ST 540. Their diameter is the perfect balance between comfort and performance. With their 28 spokes, they are lightweight, stiff, and durable. The exclusive HUTCHINSON COBRA AIR LIGHT 27.5" x 2.10 tyres are lightweight and have side lugs specially designed for mountain biking.
WIDE PEDALS
The ST 560 is supplied with B'Twin Flat Evo platform MTB pedals with a wider pedalling surface and more pronounced dots for better grip on the pedal.
EASILY TRANSPORT AND STORE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKE
Not all rides start on your doorstep. This is why we've made it easy to remove and attach the front and rear wheels. They are equipped with a quick-release system.
ACCESSORIES
Your ST 560 mountain bike is supplied with a bell, lights, wheel reflectors and pedals. The frame is compatible with: - front and rear mudguards, - stand, - bottle cage, - saddle bag, - cyclometer/GPS etc.
OUR ADVICE FOR YOUR FIRST FEW RIDES
On your first few rides, the equipment on your bike may shift a little (chain, derailleur, brakes, etc.). We offer a free inspection in the 6 months following purchase. Our technicians will carry out a 13-point check of your bike. Visit your nearest Decathlon workshop and our after-sales website: https://support.decathlon.fr/
