WHAT OUR TEAM HAS TO SAY
Our passionate MTB team has fully designed and developed the ST 560 S mountain bike at the B'Twin Village in France (Lille). We've designed and tested the ST 560 S to be great for sport. Perfect for setting off on any terrain. We have involved real MTBers at every stage of this bike's design process. And we hope the that Rockrider ST 560 S is everything you could hope for for excellent MTB rides.
A UNISEX MOUNTAIN BIKE
Men's or women's mountain bike? The Rockrider 560 S mountain bike is unisex. For greater comfort, the women on our mountain bike team recommend replacing the saddle with the Women's 500 Sport saddle, which is adapted to women's bodies.
HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKE SIZE
Several sizes available: M: 1.60m to 1.75m L: 1.75m to 1.85m XL: between 1.85 m and 2 m If you are on the limit between 2 sizes: Choose the smaller size for easier steering (easier to handle) and comfort (straighter back). Choose the larger size for easier pedalling with a more stretched-out position (position more suited to performance).
A LIGHTER FRAME
Our teams have specially designed the Rockrider CGF S Pro frame in 6061 aluminium (only 2.5 kg in size M). It is 200 grammes lighter than the CGF Evo on the RR540 S, thanks to the "double butted" front triangle. It is also more stable when turning thanks to the lower bottom bracket, which allows you to more easily touch your foot to the ground.
THE 120MM SUSPENSION
The 120 mm ROCKSHOX 30 SILVER AIR fork is 400g lighter than that of the RR540 S. Its conical shape is firmer when steering. Easily adjust the bounce and stiffness of the fork. Its COMBO LOCK quick-release handlebar system helps to prevent bobbing on smooth sections.
THE REAR SUSPENSION: AIR SHOCK
Have adventures everywhere with the X Fusion O2 Pro L Air shock, specifically adjusted for this frame. And lock it out on smooth sections to prevent bobbing. This can be done with a simple motion, at the same time as the front suspension, using the COMBOLOCK wheel on the handlebar. Please note: A specific "high pressure" pump is required to adjust this shock (B'Twin fork and shock pump - ref: 3310286).
DOUBLE CHAINWHEEL DERAILLEUR AND DRIVETRAIN
2 x 10 speed chainwheels, 20 speeds total! 2 quick and easy shifters on the handlebar. Left (chainwheels): control ascents/descents. Right (speeds): more precise control over your pedalling. In detail: - SHIMANO DEORE double chainwheel with hollow axle, 24 / 38 teeth. - SHIMANO DEORE front derailleur. - SHIMANO DEORE 10-speed rear derailleur. - SHIMANO DEORE shifters. - SHIMANO DEORE cassette, 10 cogs, 11 to 36 teeth. Drivetrain is 100 g lighter than the one on the Rockrider 540 S
HANDLEBARS, STEM, GRIPS
With its adjustable stem, the RR 560 S controls are close at hand. The all-aluminium B'Twin stem is 80 mm (size M/L), or 90 mm (size XL) and can be raised using 5 adjustment intervals: + 0mm, + 7.5mm, + 15mm, + 22.5mm, + 30mm. Ergonomic grips for a natural grip without getting tired. In detail: - B'TWIN SPORT "oversize" aluminium handlebars are 660 mm wide (size M) or 680 mm wide (for L and XL) - A-headset semi-integrated headset holds its own
SADDLE / SEAT POST: COMFORTABLE AND SPORTY SEAT
Our teams have designed the exclusive B'Twin Ergofit Evo saddle. Suitable for all hip sizes, its "hammock" shape is particularly good for sport touring. With a 31.6 mm diameter and 400 mm length, the aluminium B'TWIN SPORT seat post combines low weight and a wide range of adjustments for the perfect riding position. Adjust it easily with the ergonomic collar clamp (requiring 2 times less natural effort).
DOUBLE HYDRAULIC DISC BRAKES
No matter what conditions you ride in (dry/wet), the B'Twin by Tektro 160mm double hydraulic disc brakes will come through for you, even in the mud. Hydraulic brakes are more powerful and progressive, requiring much less effort when applying pressure on the levers. The Tektro aluminium brake levers are easy to handle, lightweight, and precise.
LIGHTER 27.5" DOUBLE-WALLED RIMS AND WIDE ALL-TERRAIN TYRES
The Aero Trail Pro 27.5" wheels are made from double-walled aluminium. These sleeve-jointed rims are combined with lighter tyres to be 600g lighter (ST 540 S). The 27.5" diameter is the perfect balance between comfort and performance. With 28 spokes, they are lighter, while still guaranteeing rigidity and durability. The 27.5" x 2.20 Hutchinson Taipan tyres are all-terrain tyres with side lugs to guarantee good traction on turns. These wider (2.2) tyres provide better grip.
WIDE PEDALS
The ST 560 is supplied with B'Twin Flat Evo platform MTB pedals with a wider pedalling surface and more pronounced dots for better grip on the pedal.
EASILY TRANSPORT AND STORE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKE
Not all rides start on your doorstep. Need to remove the front wheel? It's easy thanks to the integrated clamping lever. And the rear wheel? There is a nut at the back to secure the bike and limit the risk of theft. A flat spanner is needed to remove the rear wheel.
Accessories
Your ST 560 mountain bike is supplied with a bell, lights, wheel reflectors and pedals. The frame is compatible with: - front and rear mudguards, - stand, - bottle cage (550ml bottle), - saddle bag, - cyclometer/GPS etc.
OUR ADVICE FOR YOUR FIRST RIDE
