THE BENEFITS OF AN EXERCISE BIKE
It is an all-round activity that helps: - develop your ENDURANCE - TONE your lower body muscles To keep fit, the WHO recommends doing this activity regularly and at a moderate pace (sweating slightly; you should be able to maintain a conversation) for 22 mins/day In order to lose weight and in particular to get rid of fat, the WHO also recommends doing this activity regularly and at a moderate pace, but for longer: 44 mins/day
FLYWHEEL AND PEDALLING PERFORMANCE
The exercise bike's flywheel affects how smoothly the pedals spin. The heavier the flywheel, the smoother the pedalling and the more enjoyable your workout will be.
THE CONSOLE, YOUR VIRTUAL COACH
The VM 230 display has five functions: calories burnt, distance covered, duration of workout, speed and heart rate with sensors located on the handlebars. These functions can help you reach your goals and track your training level.
TIPS FOR PROPERLY ADJUSTING YOUR BIKE
Adjusting the height of the seat is important to ensure that you maintain a healthy posture while pedalling. Stand next to the bike and adjust the seat to the height of your hip. Using toe clips increases pedalling efficiency as you not only push downwards but also pull upwards as the pedal rises. Make sure that your toe clips are properly tightened for optimum foot support.
TIPS FOR ADJUSTING YOUR BIKE'S STABILITY
For optimal comfort, we recommend using specific floor pads under your bike (DF 920 floor pads). These foam pads will help to: optimise the stability of the bike when in use, reduce vibrations and noise and protect your floor. Domyos exercise bikes have two stabilisers at the back of the base to ensure perfect stability during your workouts, regardless of the type of flooring.
TIPS FOR MOVING YOUR BIKE
Your exercise bike is equipped with wheels at the front for easy moving. To move your bike, stand facing the front of it. Stop it moving forwards with your foot while pushing down on the handlebars to swing it up onto its front wheels. Gently push it to where you want.
