On what type of ground can they be used?

These gym bootees are intended for indoor use only, on relatively soft surfaces or gym mats. Outdoor use on tarmac would cause their flexible structure to deteriorate prematurely.

Do you need to wear socks with these gym bootees?

They should be worn without socks to maximise sensory effectiveness. This allows the nerve receptors in the soles of the feet to directly sense the ground, helping to maintain balance.

The Domyos Baby Light bootee has been tested in use by children doing baby gym. These bootees have been designed for walking on beams, parallel bars and climbing on different apparatuses.

The Domyos Baby Light bootee has been approved by a physiotherapist. Observations of the behaviour of children aged 10 months to 4 years participating in Baby Gym classes with and without shoes showed that wearing Domyos Baby Light bootees provided advantages in the proper development of their motor skills and certain advantages over being barefoot. They offered better traction and support for improved balance and coordination. Their feet are also better protected.
